Detatched Youth Project Gets Sporty

Our Community Support Scheme has awarded Detached Youth Project £400 towards the purchase of sporting equipment.

Detached Youth Project is based in Rainworth and works with young people aged 4 to 19, to advance their social education by providing structured activities which would ordinarily be financially unavailable to them.

Jodie Hoggard of Detached Youth Project says: “We would like to thank The Mansfield for the funds to purchase a variety of outdoor equipment and games. The group is run by volunteer youth workers and meets two evenings a week, every weekend and during school holidays.”

The Mansfield’s Marketing Co-ordinator Mandy Whitten says “We are thrilled to be able to help. The Youth Club offers young people the opportunity to take part in structured youth work sessions improving their confidence, team work, art, health and well being through a range of sporting activities”
